Terms & Conditions
Family history tracing can be a very inexact science. It may be that your ancestors have left relatively little impression on past records for many possible reasons.
Many people in the 19th century, for example, ‘avoided' the census enumerators, whilst others were actually miles from home on the night of the census and therefore prove extremely elusive.
In addition, many old documents are very badly written, worn, faded, incompletely or inaccurately transcribed, making the genealogist's task even more difficult.
Whilst Gower Ancestry will make every possible effort to track-down complete family histories of all its clients, it is impossible to guarantee that we will be able to trace families back to any specifically stated or requested time-period.
Furthermore, we will not be held liable for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may possibly occur, at any time.
By your instruction to us to commence, you are deemed to be accepting these terms and conditions

We cannot guarantee success as research does not always produce predictable results. Information available will vary considerably from person to person. It may be impossible to identify the individual you are looking for. This will depend on factors such as:
- Whether your ancestors stayed in the same place for significant periods of time.
- The accuracy of record takers and officials at the time the record was created.
- The accuracy of information given to record takers and officials by an individual.
- Whether records are available. Some records may have been destroyed, damaged, lost or misplaced.
- Whether the individual may have been missed or avoided being recorded.
- References to documents consulted will be included in the results of research carried out.
